The scariest thing to me is that after so much research, I’ve come to learn that countless people around the globe have insulin resistance and not even know it. And insulin resistance is the step before pre-diabetes, which is the step before Type-2 diabetes. This is because blood tests only test for blood glucose levels; not insulin levels.

As I enter the last week of my 30 Day Challenge of strict clean keto with OMAD (one meal a day) I have to reflect on why I even started doing Keto and Intermittent Fasting in the first place: to effectively and quickly reverse the damage and literally cure my pre-diabetes. And I’m blown away at how fast it was. In less than 3 weeks of strict healthy keto with a 20:4 fasting protocol, my fasting blood glucose tests went from consistently prediabetic to a completely normal fasting blood glucose level in less than twenty days.

If you’ve been with me for a while, you’ll know I used to do SCD to great results, but the reason why I migrated from Slow Carb to Keto+IF is because I was shocked to receive a diagnosis of pre-diabetes after having not gone to a doctor in over a decade.
