Start Keto! Orientation for Keto Beginners to Lose Weight with DIRTY, LAZY, KETO by Stephanie Laska

Welcome to DIRTY, LAZY, KETO! Today is ORIENTATION day.

If you haven’t guessed this already, I’m Stephanie Laska, bestselling author and creator of DIRTY, LAZY, KETO. I lost 140 pounds, about half of my body weight, and I’ve kept the weight off for almost a decade.

DIRTY, LAZY, KETO is so much more than just “counting carbs”. Weight loss is a lot more complicated than just “throwing out the bread” or “eating right”. Wouldn’t you agree?

DIRTY, LAZY, KETO is different than strict keto. VERY different! The traditional keto diet has very strict rules about only eating organic, unpackaged or unprocessed food — which in my opinion… translates to nothing fun or convenient. The keto police enforce no more than 20 grams of carbs per day, with precise ratios of calories eaten from macronutrient splits like 70% fat, 25% protein, and 5% carbs…. SAY WHAT? Did I lose you there? EXACTLY!

If you’re like me, all of those strict rules and math equations feel completely overwhelming and the ingredients sound really expensive and difficult to maintain. Who has time to weigh, measure, and count macros for every single thing you eat? Um, NOT ME. That sounds impractical, stressful, and confusing. I couldn’t do this for two days (or even two hours) without screwing up. Plus, I suspect losing weight involves sooooo much more than just food. In fact, I’m willing to bet on it.

In today’s ORIENTATION video… I’ll walk you through the resources I’ve created, many of which are FREE. You heard me – free!

The most important tool you’ll need is DIRTY, LAZY, KETO Get Started Losing Weight While Breaking the Rules (St. Martin’s Press). It’s funny, yet practical, and will explain everything you need to know about weight loss in one place. Yes, it includes a complete grocery list (more than 250 foods you can eat with carb counts and serving sizes), quick meal and snack suggestions – even starter recipes. What to eat for breakfast? How to curb a sweet tooth? It’s all right there.

Need keto dinner ideas? Readers have asked for help and want easy keto recipes. Healthy cooking doesn’t need to be complicated, time-consuming, or expensive. I have several DIRTY, LAZY, KETO Cookbooks (by Simon & Schuster), each contains 100 of my favorite weight-loss recipes along with inspiration and entertainment. All the recipes are affordable and easy to make, nothing fancy required! All recipe servings contain 10g net carbs or less.

When you don’t feel like cooking, I think it’s fine to hit the drive-thru. There is so much more to eat for keto fast food than just a bunless burger! My husband, William Laska and I, researched 35 keto-friendly fast food restaurants and discovered hundreds of menu items you can order that are all under 10 net carbs.

What do you order? Check out DIRTY, LAZY, KETO Fast Food Guide: Ten Net Carbs or Less by William & Stephanie Laska, exclusively available on Amazon (and FREE with Kindle Unlimited!).
