Pan Seared Yellowfin Tuna Steaks
This Yellowfin Tuna Steaks is prepared with a mayo based dipping sauce it is keto friendly, low carb, sugar free and delicious.
4 oz. Yellowfin Tuna
1 tbs olive oil
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp oregano
(this was more than enough seasoning for this fish I had seasoning left over)
1 tbs mayonnaise
2 tsp chili garlic oil
1 tsp dijon mustard
1 tbs sugar free steak sauce
4 shakes of soy sauce
1 1/2 tsp sugar substitute
Take your steaks and pat them dry then rub your olive oil over all sides of the steak. Then sprinkle your seasoning over all sides of the tuna salt, pepper, lemon pepper, garlic powder and oregano. Heat up your cast iron skillet on high for 3-4 minutes and place your steak on the grill for one minute and a half to 2 minutes per side depending on how hot your pan is (we rotated the fish halfway for grill marks). Flip and repeat. Watch the fish you can see the color change going up the side of the fish. Also sear off the sides of the fish for 30 seconds.
For the dipping sauce combine your mayo, chili garlic oil, dijon mustard, sugar free steak sauce, soy sauce and sugar substitute.
