Hello my fat adapted family! Here’s MY guide to foods you can eat when in ketosis.

Today’s topic is meats.

I just want to clarify that these are MY opinions as someone who has been in ketosis for quite a few years now. You may not agree with my guides and that’s okay. This may not be the guide for you. At the end of the day, it’s your keto journey/diet/lifestyle, I’m just putting my 2 cents in here to try and help some people with the information I promote.

SUMMARY:
All calculations are for 100 grams (3.5 ounces) of said meat. These calculations can vary depending on brand, type etc.

– Most meats (red, white & fish) have 0 carbohydrates or minimal in carbs and can be eaten quite liberally.

-You need to check the carbs (and check your portion sizes) for any burgers, sausages, meatballs, donner kebab meat and cold cuts because they can vary due to additions like breadcrumbs and flavouring.

When in doubt, buy ground mince and making your own meatballs and burgers.

– You shouldn’t (SHOULDN’T. NOT CAN’T) eat any ribs with sauces on them (that aren’t keto). You shouldn’t eat battered or breaded fish or caramelized and honey roasted meats.
