Thats how you enter ketosis is by lowering your insulin. If you want to be in ketosis and maintain a vegitarian diet, the healthit and simplt way to do that is just to fast for a few days. The healthit and simplt way ever to get to ketosis is to fast for a few days, then just avoid eating anything thats going to spike your insulin as long as you want to maintain ketosis. Pretty simple actually. Not surprising. This is one of the healthit and simplt things you could ever do for your body. Doesnt even have to be very long, a week or two every year would be fine. Then just resume your normal diet. Youll be way healthier for it whatever that diet is. Youll get pretty much all the benefits of fasting and there are many in that short time, and you could be eating the whole time!! Just maintaining ketosis for a time is all you really need every now and then. The only reason to do it longer is to burn more fa.t or to run on fa.t as a choice thats me, since this is the only effective way to do that co.ntrolling insulin. You can eat plants during a fast by the way. Fruit even. Anything that doesnt spike your insulin is fine, youll stay in ketosis. I actually do that while Im fasting all the time.
