If you’ve ever taken a fry off you kids plate and then realized that through the course of the meal you’d eaten half of the serving, you know how easily we can mindlessly eat. Well what happens when you allow yourself to have a cheat day. Cheat days spiral out of control so easily because we’ve already said “yes”. You are actually, decidedly, eating off plan, ignoring the consequences of what it will mean to you physically and psychologically to eat excessively.

If I’m cheating, does it matter if I have one slice or two of cake? Will I be paying attention to the addictive reaction that my body will have to the excessive amount of carbohydrates? Probably not because I’ve already decided that eating excessively is OK, so I will likely ignore consequences.

If you do not know how food affects your body, you will eat harmful foods believing that you can exercise away the negative effects. In reality, if you eat it, it will affect you. So be choosy about what you eat. Your health matters most. Health and happiness take work. Make working on it part of your daily routine.
